Developer Terms

These Developer Terms govern your access to and use of the Configo application programming interfaces ("APIs"). They apply in addition to our Terms of Use. By using the APIs, you agree to them.

1. Access and credentials

  1. API access uses OAuth. You must register an application and obtain valid credentials before calling the APIs.
  2. Keep your client secret and access tokens confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your credentials.
  3. An application may access only the data its granted scopes allow, and only on behalf of users who have authorized it.

2. Acceptable use

When using the APIs, you must not:

  1. Make excessive requests that degrade the availability or performance of the Services.
  2. Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization or scope restrictions, or access data you have not been granted access to.
  3. Use the APIs to create or distribute malicious software or spam, or to carry out unauthorized automated access.
  4. Misrepresent your integration, or imply an official partnership with or endorsement by Configo without our permission.

3. Data protection and security

  1. You must protect any data you retrieve through the APIs and comply with the data protection law that applies to you.
  2. Do not share API credentials or user data with third parties without the necessary consent.
  3. Store only the data your integration actually needs, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

4. Rate limits and changes

  1. We may apply rate limits to keep the APIs available for everyone. These limits may change over time.
  2. We may update, modify or discontinue parts of the APIs. Where a change would break existing integrations, we will make a reasonable effort to give advance notice.

5. Liability

The APIs are provided "as is", without any guarantee of uptime or uninterrupted service. The warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability in our Terms of Use apply to your use of the APIs.

6. Termination

We may revoke API access if you breach these Developer Terms, or if your integration threatens the security, integrity or availability of the Services.
