Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do with Configo. It applies to everyone using the Services, including your Authorized Users and anyone using an integration you build. By using the Services, you agree to follow it.

1. Prohibited activities

You must not use the Services to do or promote any of the following:

  1. Illegal activity, including fraud, money laundering, or unauthorized access to computer systems.
  2. Distributing malware, viruses or other harmful code.
  3. Attempting to hack, overload, disrupt or otherwise interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services.
  4. Sending spam, phishing messages or other unsolicited communication.
  5. Hosting or distributing illegal, violent or sexually explicit material.
  6. Infringing intellectual property rights, including unauthorized copying or distribution of content.
  7. Impersonating any person or organization, including Configo staff.
  8. Consuming resources abusively — for example cryptocurrency mining, using the Services as a general-purpose file host, or generating automated traffic far beyond normal use.

2. Using the Widget on your website

If you embed the Configo Widget on your own website, you are also responsible for:

  1. Complying with data protection law in relation to the visitors whose data you collect through it, as set out in the Widget Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  2. Not placing the Widget on a website whose content breaches this policy.
  3. Not modifying the Widget in a way that misrepresents Configo or disguises where submitted data is sent.

3. Your responsibilities

  1. Make sure your use of the Services complies with the laws that apply to you.
  2. Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
  3. Report unauthorized activity on your account, or any security vulnerability you discover, to [email protected]. Please give us a reasonable opportunity to fix a vulnerability before disclosing it publicly.

4. Enforcement

  1. If you breach this policy, we may suspend or terminate your access, remove or block the offending content, and — where the law requires it — report the matter to the authorities.
  2. Where a breach is minor and can be fixed, we will normally contact you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to put it right. We may act immediately where the breach is serious or unlawful, or where it threatens the security of the Services or other users.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify you of significant updates by email or through the Services.
